Last night we had a visit from the Pumpkin Fairy! After the kids went Trunk or Treating, they got to pick out 5 pieces of candy to eat. Then after they went Trick or Treating they got to pick out another 5 pieces of candy to eat. Then they combined it all, each picked out 10 more pieces to eat and the rest they set out for the Pumpkin Fairy.
And this morning they found that the candy was gone and in it's place were some reading books, just at Handsome's reading level. Thank you Pumpkin Fairy! We'll have to remember you in future years too. :)

There's a dentist here who pays by the pound for candy. I'm not sure that sends the right message (go get as much as you can to make more money), but some parents like it.
