Grandma Cooking Class- Sugar Cookies

Handsome has been requesting Sugar Cookies to make.  So that's what they made for Grandma Cooking Class.

 Gorgeous was proud of her "rainbow trout."

And Handsome loved his rainbow airplane.

Sweet Surprise

This morning when I woke up Handsome told me he had a surprise for me.  I closed my eyes as he lead me to the kitchen table.  There he revealed to me his sweet surprise.  He had set the table and made toast for Gorgeous and me.  I have such a sweet, thoughtful little boy!

Easter

This last Easter was Adorable's first "real" Easter, since last year he was only a few weeks old and didn't get to truly enjoy the festivities.  So, of course, most of the pictures are of him.

Saturday we went to our ward Easter Egg Hunt and lunch.  It is a long running tradition and TONS of fun.  There were different egg hunt areas depending on age.  Adorable and Gorgeous were in the same area, Handsome was in an older one with Dad.

Adorable instantly went for an egg, but then he didn't want to put it in his basket.  So I would get him to put it in and then hide the basket so he would find another egg.  He really didn't do that bad for being only one year old. :)

 Gorgeous went with Grandma Rowley and had fun filling her basket up.

Handsome went with dad for his egg hunt.  And dad told him this secret; when it starts, run straight to the back and then collect eggs.  Apparently all the other kids were busy fighting over the eggs at the beginning, while Handsome had free range of the eggs in the back.  He quickly filled his basket and then we made him stop hunting for himself, but he couldn't resist still looking and pointing them out to the other kids. 

And what the Easter bunny brought to our house.  Each kid got 2 peps, a cadbury egg, and a carrot.  Well, except for Adorable who got a tie. :)

Museum of Flight

We have been able to do two trips to the Museum of Flight, and there is still LOTS that we haven't seen.  Daddy loves airplanes and enjoys sharing his excitement with the kids.  Here are some pics from our latest visit.

Our last trip we were lucky to have Uncle Jeff in town and able to come with us.

This is definitely one that we will keep visiting.

However, I would caution those about the gift shop.  There are inappropriate books set on a side cap at child eye level.  When I brought it to the attention of the check out clerk I was rudely informed that it was "art" (I would call a women laying down in see through lingerie on the cover of a book, pornography!)  I told her to place the "art" in a location out of my 5 year olds' eye level.  I also wrote my opinions about it in their comment box.  Needless to say we don't go into the gift shop anymore!  (I am really getting the feeling that I am "raising my children in enemy-occupied territory" as Elder Russell M. Nelson said.)

Adorable's First Cake

For Adorable's actual first birthday we just did simple cupcakes.  (I had this big plan of really cute cupcakes, but when it came down to it, I took the easy way out. :)

It was fun to watch him enjoy his first cake.

Birthday Time

This year we did a combined birthday party for the boys.  We invited family and friends and had it at a nearby park, thankfully the weather was nice.  It started out a bit windy, but at the end it was nice weather to play at the park with.

 It really was the perfect day for some kite flying.  Even Adorable got in on the action.

There was playing on the playground.  Adorable loved the slide!



And presents and cake.

 Again, Handsome designed the cake.  This time he drew the Star Wars guy and I copied his drawing to put it on the cake. (I figured Adorable wouldn't mind having Handsome do the cake design)

It was a fun day of celebration.
